On 8 January 2009, the State Government announced a new $135 million hospital would be constructed in Albany. This will be one of the biggest public hospital developments ever undertaken in regional Western Australia.
The new purpose-built Albany Health Campus will replace the current Albany Hospital, which was commissioned in 1961.
The new hospital will establish the Albany Health Campus as a Regional Resource Centre for the Great Southern region, servicing more than 50,000 local residents.
This website will be used to provide information on the progress of the development and any opportunities for consultation and feedback.
