Country to Coast Program

The Country to Coast program is an extension of the highly successful Ocean to Outback program. The concept of the program is to attract Level 1.3 and above Registered Nurses to rotate through WA Country Health Service, in a structured rotational process. Benefits include supported time and travel whilst working and further developing their nursing experience in the rural setting and to hopefully recruit and retain nurses to the amazing lifestyle and working conditions, WA Country Health Service has to offer.

The Country to Coast program aims to provide this unique opportunity to Nurses who have completed a minimum of 2 years clinical experience.  Participants will undertake four rotations within the 12-month program ranging from a large regional hospitals to rural and remote health care settings. Opportunities in speciality areas will include Emergency, High Dependency/ Special care units,Paediatric Units, theatres, Medical and Surgical, Palliative and rehabilitation. 

Country to Coast Program is offered three times a year in March, May and October.
