The WA Country Health Service in collaboration with the Combined University Centre for Rural Health have developed a range of competency frameworks designed to identify the skills, behaviours, and attitudes required of allied health professionals and allied health assistants working in the rural and remote setting. The tools are designed to compliment existing competency frameworks, most notably professional specific competencies identified by relevant professional associations or competencies designed for specific areas of practice such as public health or mental health.
