The 'Alcohol and pregnancy: what are the risks?' program is jointly organised by BHP Billiton Iron Ore and the WA Country Health Service (WACHS) Pilbara Region. It is a multi-disciplinary program intended for health professionals, particularly working those with women of child-bearing age. The program is intended to fill a gap in knowledge about the effects of alcohol on a growing foetus, and to update professionals on current research. The program involved television advertisements, brochures and presentations by the Pilbara Community Drug Service Team (PCDST). More information
