Project overview

The $166 million redevelopment of Geraldton Health Campus is an investment in the Midwest, delivering:

• an expanded emergency department
• a new intensive care unit and new high dependency unit
• a new integrated mental health service inclusive of an adult mental health inpatient unit and a mental health short stay unit
• a reconfigured main entry

A community reference group with local consumers, staff and representatives from local organisations helped inform the architectural drawings.

The group also shaped cultural recognition of the traditional land owners and representation of regionally significant landmarks and industries in the new facility. 

The redevelopment is being implemented in stages to ensure minimal disruption to patients, staff and the community.
