WACHS Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2023-2027
Disability is part of human diversity, and we all have a responsibility to ensure that the environments, activities and programs we develop are created accessibly and inclusively.
WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is committed to providing inclusive and accessible environments that enable people with disabilities and their families and carers to have full access to our services, facilities and information and that we provide equitable opportunities in recruitment processes and career progression.
As part of this, and in accordance with the Disability Services Act 1993, we are preparing to renew our Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) for the 2024-2027 period. Our new DAIP will build on the strides we’ve already made and aims to foster a culture of ongoing improvement and inclusivity.
The success of the new WACHS DAIP relies upon the diversity of perspectives in this process, so we are inviting consultation in developing and refining our draft DAIP. Your contribution will play an important part in developing a DAIP that is effective and promotes inclusivity for everyone.
We are aiming to complete this consultation process by 20 December 2023.
