Geraldton Health Campus redevelopment reaches Stage Two milestone

Main works on the $188 million Geraldton Health Campus redevelopment have reached another important milestone, with the State Government’s acceptance of the Stage Two offer.
Stage Two works follow the topping out of the multi-level structure, a construction milestone that marks the completion of a building's structural phase.
With the building structure complete, masonry, structural steel, ceilings and services to the new Acute Mental Health Unit are now underway.
Roof pours for the expanded Emergency Department formed the last of the structural works, paving the way for glazing, cladding and external and internal walls to commence.
The completed structure adjoins the existing hospital at both ground and first floor levels, which will allow staff and patients to move easily between new and existing facilities.
Once complete, the redeveloped Geraldton Health Campus will feature an expanded emergency department, a new intensive care unit and high dependency unit, as well as an integrated mental health service comprising an adult mental health inpatient unit and a mental health short stay unit.
