Looking ahead: Launch of the WA Country Health Service Strategic Plan 2025-30

Introducing the new WA Country Health Service Strategic Plan 2025-30 – with five new key priorities, and retaining our current vision, mission and values - the plan will guide us through the next five years and beyond as we continue to strengthen our vision as a global leader in rural and remote healthcare.
Building on the solid foundations of activities and advancements across the past five years, the new Strategic Plan will set the future course for our organisation.
The five new strategic priorities will address:
- Advancing quality, access and equity – improved health outcomes through increased access to local and virtual services.
- Valuing our people – a highly skilled and valued workforce supported by a safe, inclusive workplace and environment.
- Driving excellence and innovation – excellence supported by a commitment to research, innovation and improvement.
- Collaboration, partnerships, and community connection – partnerships and local collaboration improve healthcare access, coordination and the patient journey.
- A trusted and sustainable health service – strong relationships and governance support an adaptable, trusted and sustainable health service.
The plan was developed through an extensive consultation process that commenced in late 2024 and was informed by the WA Country Health Service Board, consumers, staff, partner organisations and health service providers.
