Raghav Sridhara wins national food services award
WA Country Health Service Program Officer Raghav Sridhara has done the Food Services team proud again, claiming the Institute of Hospitality in Healthcare’s (IHHC) 2025 national Leadership Award.
Raghav was presented with the prestigious award—his second major accolade this year—at the IHHC National Excellence Awards in Melbourne in late October.
It comes after he won the WA State IHHC Leadership Award earlier this year, which put him in contention for the national award.
The IHHC Excellence Awards recognise food services professionals across Australia who consistently go above and beyond in their role.
As Program Officer in Food Services, Raghav is responsible for the provision of safe, quality food by developing, implementing and evaluating food service strategies and programs throughout WA Country Health Service.
Coordinator Food Services Aaron Lim described Raghav as an “effective and respected leader” with a knack for encouraging others.
“Raghav demonstrates his natural leadership skills through leading by example, communicating effectively, building trust and relationships, taking initiative, and empowering others while also having an open mind,” Aaron said.
“He is always looking for ways to improve, innovate and help others.
“Raghav has inspired positive change and innovation throughout WA Country Health Service food services teams.
“He always provides opportunities for employees to present their own ideas and solutions while also celebrating the small achievements along the way.”
As Australia’s largest country health system, WA Country Health Service provides around 1.5 million meals annually throughout rural, regional and remote WA.
