About PATS
PATS is funded by the State Government's Royalties for Regions program and is administered by WA Country Health Service. It aims to support WA country residents' access to specialist medical services wherever they live in the State. On average, PATS assists 30,000 country residents access specialist medical services and subsidises 80,000 travel journeys each year.
PATS applications are assessed by regional PATS offices in line with current PATS policy and eligibility criteria. We’ve made it easy to find out if you are eligible for PATS, and what medical services you may be able to claim for.
Recipients eligible for PATS can apply for the following subsidies:
- Travel
- Accommodation
- Support person
