Celebrating 50 years of Mullewa’s Bev Crudeli

16/12/2025

Mullewa Health Centre recently celebrated Registered Nurse Beverley (Bev) Crudeli reaching an impressive milestone - 50 years working at WA Country Health Service.

Bev began her diverse nursing career in Mullewa in 1975 as a nursing assistant before completing her enrolled nursing training in 1998 and went on to become a permanent staff member at Mullewa Health Centre.

During this time, she was also part of an inaugural group of nurses who did enrolled nursing to registered nursing conversion training at Northern Territory University, which led her to working in the Geraldton area and the old Darwin Hospital.

She graduated in 2003 and held many different roles across the years. Including in, infection, prevention and control, staff management and - as recently as this month - covering as the Director of Nursing/Health Service Manager at Mullewa Health Centre.

To mark the special celebration, a morning tea was organised and attended by around 60 people including local staff, patients and clients.

Operations Manager - Murchison Jody Rolston said Bev is an invaluable member of the Mullewa team and community.

“We are very proud to have Bev as part of our team – especially for so many years.

“She’s an amazing nurse and is highly regarded by her peers, colleagues and community.

“We’re lucky to have people like Bev in our communities and we extend our thanks and congratulations to her on such an enduring career.”

For Bev, working in Mullewa has been her passion – both for the community she’s served and the colleagues she’s worked with.

“I have always found working more a pleasure than a chore and I have made some lifelong friends along the way.

“I am very grateful for those who I worked with originally who taught me the ropes because that was my grounding to being a nurse.”

Bev will continue working part-time but said she has plans for the near future.

“I’ll continue working for now, but retirement is definitely on the horizon.

“I have been part of many community groups, so I’ll continue with that, as well as volunteering for several committees. I have lots of hobbies and interests to keep me occupied as well.”
