Grateful patient sings praises for Busselton ED Doctor Singh

A grateful patient has left the Busselton Emergency Department singing the praises of Dr Saurabh Singh and the ED team.

The patient, who attended Busselton ED in late May and was treated for Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT), detailed the calm and professional nature of Dr Saurabh Singh and the team.

“Dr Saurabh Singh provided exceptional care, characterised by his compassionate and empathetic approach,” the patient said.

SVT is a type of abnormal heart rhythm where the heart suddenly beats much faster than normal, up to 150–250 beats per minute. Apart from a range of uncomfortable symptoms, an SVT episode can also be quite alarming for the patient.

“Having experienced SVT previously, I am familiar with self-management techniques – however, this episode was more persistent.

“Dr Singh took the time to reassure me and provided thorough information.”

The patient also noted Dr Singh’s professionalism and attention to detail and that he worked collaboratively with the nursing team, showing respect, care and support in his interactions.

“I am very grateful for his efforts and the positive impact his care has had on me.

“I believe that it is important to recognise and acknowledge exceptional work.”

Dr Saurabh Singh gave credit to the entire team at Busselton ED for their ongoing commitment to improving patient experience, ensuring a high level of care is delivered to patients.

“I am truly humbled by the kind words,” Dr Singh said.

“I genuinely feel it's the entire ED team at Busselton that deserves the attention as my supervisors, nursing, support staff workers, always work in unison to deliver high quality care and have helped me improve my practice to the level where parents feel the health care system is addressing their concerns and providing satisfaction of care."
